Robotic Hydrodemolition

Robotic Hydrodemolition

We are proud to operate one of the largest UK based robotic hydrodemolition fleets, offering the perfect solution to those looking for a safe and efficient solution for the removal of concrete.

Robotic hydrodemolition opens up the opportunity for significantly increased rates of concrete removal compared to manual hand lance hydrodemolition methods, with an average 5 times greater productivity alongside the benefit of a safer working environment.

What Is Robotic Hydrodemolition?

Robotic hydrodemolition involves using high pressure water jets with robots which are able to withstand extreme forces, allowing for the use of larger pumps at a greater pressure than manual lance hydrodemolition.

This is the standard solution offered when the requirement is for the removal of greater than 5m3 of concrete and when a quicker solution is required and when no access or water supply restrictions are present.

Why Use Robotic Hydrodemolition?

Robot hydrodemolition is the perfect solution for the removal of concrete and offers the following benefits:

  • Suitable For Larger Areas Of Concrete Removal
When the area of concrete to be removed is greater than 5m3, robotic hydrodemolition offers the quickest, most efficient and cost effective solution.
  • Consistency
The use of robotics allows for consistency across removal, ensuring an even depth across all cuts across a project; something which is difficult to achieve to the same level of precision with manual lance hydrodemolition.
  • Increased Speed Of Removal
The use of robotics allows for much faster concrete removal than manual lance hydrodemolition, allowing for faster completion of projects alongside increased cost efficiency and assistance of project planning.
  • A Safer Way Of Working
The use of robotics is, as expected, a safer way of working as there is no manual strain placed upon the operator. The method creates no dust and noise is minimal.
  • Environmentally Friendly & No Damage To Surrounding Surfaces
The approach offers no damage to the surrounding surfaces, resulting in an environmentally friendly method compared to alternatives, making it also perfect for use on sensitive structures.

Robotic Hydrodemolition Testimonials

Please see below a number of testimonials from a number of recent robotic hydrodemolition projects:

Chris Coleman – Site Agent for AE Yates Limited commented; “Thanks to everyone at Buxton Water for your hard work and efforts over the last few months to get us to this point, although this hasn’t always been the easiest of jobs due to the logistics and its tight nature I am pleased with your performance on site, the lads attitude has been great, I feel when there has been issues we’ve come together well to rectify these.”
